Originally built in the 1960s by the owners' father and uncle, this three-story treasured family cabin boasts classic rustic vibes while being lovingly restored with an updated kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, and huge rear deck that celebrates the views of Gold Mountain!

You'll feel right at home at this cozy perch in the mountains with its nostalgic wood burning fireplace, vintage furniture and charming artworks depicting tranquil forest scenes and cherished wildlife. Head up to the loft area, and you will immediately fall in love with the Modernist A-frame design featuring a fun 'British pub' plaid carpet, rocking chairs, bunk beds for the kids, and tall windows that face century-old pines. A full, recently remodeled kitchen is ready for whipping up tasty meals with ease and the free Wi-Fi and flatscreen TV will provide more than enough entertainment as the stars come out.

Located mere steps from the entrance of Pebble Plains Nature Preserve, everyone can enjoy acres of untouched forest with easy trails, vista points, 17 unique eco-systems, and a variety of forest flora and fauna in no time! For a bit of winter fun, head over to Big Bear Snow Play for some sledding that the whole family can enjoy or venture a bit further to Big Bear Mountain Resort (four miles) or Bear Mountain Ski Resort (five miles) to ski to your heart's content. Warmer times of the year will uncover the pristine hiking trails in the areas and Big Bear Lake is a blast for boating, fishing, swimming, and more!

Decent for a weekend trip.
I wasn't blown away by this cabin rental, but it met our family's needs for a short weekend trip.

Great Get Away
The whole process of reserving, checking in and out was easy. The cabin was bigger than expected, had room for everything. Everyone in my family loved how the cabin had a lot of history and character. There was plenty of parking and the neighborhood is perfect for hiking. It is a great get away from the city choice for small and large family. We would definitely recommend it.

Amazing A-Frame in True Big Bear Style
This charming house is filled with clever design touches and is so comfy, you can feel the love that the owner has put into it over the years. And you really know you're in Big Bear, has a very vintage mountainy feel. Great location near a nature preserve and convenient to all things Big Bear. Would definitely recommend!

Lilac Heaven
Just finished a holiday stay at this lovely cabin. We found it filled with rustic charm, comfortable beds, modern kitchen appliances, and an almost full surrounding deck + view. Along with the close by nature hikes, a super highlight was the full bloom Lilacs, which scented the whole yard.

One of a kind cabin
This is a very unique cabin with a cozy, relaxed vibe. It has a lovely deck with a nice view to hang out on. There is a quiet and little known nature preserve within a few minutes walking distance.

So fun in every way. A huge deck out back with seating for about 14, plus a little ?secret garden?
Loved the warmly furnished main room and kitchen with new appliances. Three levels with a variety of places to sleep including two rooms by a bath; a bath on main level; and on 3rd level 2 huge picture windows, card table, 6 bunk beds and an extra room with door that?s adorable. All bedding is fantastic. So much greenery on this property!

Unique cozy cabin
We booked this cabin for a family trip and it was perfect for our party of six. It was unique and charming with a cozy retro mountain feel. We especially love the A-line loft and lovely deck with the lovely view.

Classic Cabin
Absolutely love this place. It's got amazing vintage style, from the themed bedrooms (Chalet, Fish, and Cowboy) and the amazing top floor room with a view that's perfect for coffee. Back patio is great with a patio set to sit back and relax.

Big Bear Weekend!
The cabin was amazing - clean and adorable. We were 6 and it never felt crowded. The neighborhood is quiet and the people we met during our walks and hikes were especially friendly. Great food and great company. Looking forward to our next visit.
