River Rock Lodge | Hot Tub + Walk to Village

Escape to River Rock Lodge, a charming three-bedroom log-style chalet less than a mile from The Village and ideally positioned for year-round Big Bear adventures. With a private hot tub, two sun decks, wood-burning fireplace, and accommodations for up to eight guests, this pet-friendly retreat blends classic mountain character with the convenience of staying close to dining, shopping, the lake, and the slopes. Step inside and settle into the bright, open-concept living area, where soaring knotty pine ceilings, natural light, and warm mountain details create an inviting cabin atmosphere. Plush seating surrounds the wood-burning fireplace, making it the perfect gathering spot after a day of skiing, hiking, biking, or exploring Big Bear Lake.

A mounted flat-screen TV and complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi provide easy entertainment when you're ready for a relaxed night in. The beautifully appointed kitchen combines mountain warmth with modern convenience. Marble countertops, modern appliances, ample prep space, and a dishwasher make everything from quick breakfasts to family dinners easy. The open layout keeps the cook connected with the rest of the group while everyone gathers and unwinds together.

Three bedrooms and two full bathrooms provide comfortable accommodations for families and groups. The primary suite features a queen bed, TV with cable, walk-in closet, private full bathroom, and direct deck access. Step outside from the suite for easy access to the private hot tub. The second bedroom features two twin beds, while the third offers another queen bed. A full sleeper sofa in the living room provides additional sleeping accommodations, allowing River Rock Lodge to host up to eight guests.

A second full hallway bathroom serves the remaining sleeping areas, while an in-home washer and dryer add extra convenience for longer stays, snowy winter gear, and lake-day essentials. Outside, enjoy both front and back sun decks surrounded by fresh mountain air. Start your morning with coffee outside, prepare dinner on the propane BBQ, or settle in beneath the stars after a day of exploring.

And when you're ready to truly unwind, slip into your private hot tub and let the mountain day melt away. River Rock Lodge’s location makes exploring Big Bear especially convenient. The Village is less than a mile away for restaurants, boutique shopping, and entertainment, while the lake and shoreline recreation are also close by. When winter arrives, the ski slopes are approximately a 10-minute drive away.

Absolutely Beautiful Cabin!
We came to stay for our daughter's HS graduation before leaving for college. The inside of the cabin was nicely decorated, the living room area was clean and the furniture was comfortable. The beds are clean and comfortable and the bedrooms stayed nice the entire stay, the master bed was so soft and comfortable that we slept great. The washer and dryer worked well; it was not loud or obnoxious. The coffee pot, fridge, and freezer with an ice maker all worked perfectly. The library is fantastic and all of the books were in good shape. The hot tub, unfortunately, didn't work correctly, upon my arrival. I reached out to BBV and they sent someone to take a look the same day and were unfortunately unable to fix it themselves, the tech arrived the following day and was able to get the heater in working order. BBV did a good job at getting my concerns addressed quickly and was prompt to inform me of their resolve. We loved the location because we were close to Pine Knot Trails and the Big Bear Village was a 5-minute drive. I would stay here at this cabin and with Big Bear Vacations as my host again. I enjoyed my stay and am looking forward to coming back!

Great and comfortable house but needs some repairs
The house was very roomy and comfortable. The first day we stayed we went to the grocery store and added some drinks into fridge. It took half a day for everything to finally get cold. We tried to bake ruebens in the oven the second night and the oven wouldn't heat up. They definitely need to make those repairs but other than that the house was nice and clean.
